Cyanotype is a printing process that uses sunlight (UV) to create images in a deep blue tone, which contrasts with the white background of the paper. We will try out this technique, which emerged in the 19th century, using natural objects such as leaves and flowers, and others that our imagination might suggest. At the end, each participant will take their prints home. Note: this workshop depends on sunlight. In case of very cloudy weather or rain, the activity may be cancelled.

How to get there

From the Cultural Center (350m): On foot, leaving the event headquarters (Centro Cultural), descend (south) along Estrada da Mata for about 250 m, turn left to Rua Dr. António Guerreiro Tello, going almost until the end of the street (150m). The "Barão ConVida" space is on the left side, before the mini-market.

From Lagos: Arriving in the city of Lagos, at the Municipal Stadium roundabout, head towards Bensafrim. At the exit of Portelas, take the EM 531 on the left, towards Barão de São João, passing by Monte Judeu. Keep going straight ahead, towards Barão de S. João. Once within Barão de São João, keep straight, bearing right towards “Bensafrim”, going around the Church. You can park at the exit to the village, in a parking lot on the right, behind the church and cemetery, and walk the rest of the way. After passing the church, take Rua Capitão Francisco da Silva Rijo, at the Café Central fork, turn right, the "Barão ConVida" space is on the right, next to the mini-market.
