Around the Bravura Dam

A long circular route around the Bravura Dam reservoir, along old rural paths, trails and part of section 12 (Marmelete to Bensafrim) of the GR13 - Via Algarviana. We start next to the restaurant (temporarily closed) and continue anti-clockwise.

Along the route, with stunning views over the water, you can see typical landscapes of the Algarve mountains, characterised by a succession of hills, valleys and watercourses, covered with Mediterranean scrub, rockroses, strawberry trees, cork oaks, pines, eucalyptus trees and small vegetable gardens, which contrast with small housing clusters and wind turbines.

NOTE: Bring comfortable clothes and shoes for walking, walking sticks, water and a packed lunch.
