The child I was and the adult I am
From 10:00 to 11:30
What happened to us when we were children? Are we really who we think we are? What characters do we play in our lives? And how are our family relationships organised? Human Biography invites us to take a fresh look at the most critical phase of life: childhood and its unfolding. Through it, we can organise our history, understand our emotional survival mechanisms and the emotional bonds we create, connecting them to our current challenges and desires.
In this activity, we will explore different childhood scenarios and characters, putting ourselves in their shoes. Who knows, maybe one of them reflects your own childhood scenario or character? It is a recommended activity for anyone who wants to get to know themselves from a new perspective and develop their altruistic capacity.
How to get there
From the Cultural Center (450m): On foot, exiting from the event’s reception (Cultural Center), go downwards (south) along the road “Estrada da Mata Nacional” for about 300 meters. Turn left “Jacques Favre Castelo Branco” street, passing by the Municipal Market, following the road until its end (150m), reaching the street “Capitão Francisco da Silva Rijo”. The building is on the no. 17, to the right.
From Lagos: Arriving in the city of Lagos, at the Municipal Stadium roundabout, head towards Bensafrim. At the exit of Portelas, take the EM 531 on the left, towards Barão de São João, passing by Monte Judeu. Keep going straight ahead, towards Barão de S. João. Once within Barão de São João, keep straight, bearing right towards “Bensafrim”, going around the Church. You can park at the exit to the village, in a parking lot on the right, behind the church and cemetery, and walk the rest of the way. After passing the church, take Rua Capitão Francisco da Silva Rijo. The bulding is located at no. 17, on the left.
