Earth, Moon, Fire reflects on the wildfire that swept through Barão de São João during the New Moon in September — a fire that brought devastation to the land and the loss of homes.

Created from a distance, the twelve A3 pieces echo the fragments of social media footage through which the event was witnessed. Moments of smoke, colour, and light carried through screens.

Layers of pigment and charcoal trace the meeting of earth, moon, and fire — elements in continual cycle, holding both destruction and renewal.
